Materials
We take care in selecting only the highest grade hardwoods for our pieces, all sourced from right here in our New England home. Extra care and attention is given to seeking out boards that exhibit interesting grain and beautiful, rich color. Variation is an essential quality of any natural material, and is intrinsic to the beauty and unique character of each piece we craft
Finishes
Our finishes are as lovely to behold as they are durable. They patina wonderfully with use, and are gentle on both the environment of your home and of the earth as a whole. Applied carefully by hand, they enhance the beauty of each piece, and exceed the criteria for indoor air quality necessary to be given the designation of low- or no-VOC (volatile organic compounds).
They are exceptionally easy to care for as well: Simply wipe with a lightly dampened cloth when needed. If desired, a wood cleaner or furniture wax can be employed to renew and refresh the finish (please follow the manufacturer’s instructions).
Hardware
We exclusively use Blum European hinges and drawer slides with soft close mechanisms. Their masterfully precise engineering results in hardware that does its job so well, and so reliably, that it’s likely you’ll never even think about it. Learn more about Blum here
